With 15 years of coaching experience, Cody has dedicated her career to developing young athletes both on and off the volleyball court. She coached JV girls volleyball at Basha High from 2013-2016, and served as the Head Coach for Basha High School boys volleyball program. Cody coached 5 years of club volleyball in Jupiter Florida. Then, when she moved back to Gilbert, she coached for a few clubs in the East Valley (Arizona Storm Elite, Spiral, & Altitude VBC) .
Cody played NAIA for Northwood University in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was the starting setter for all four years. Upon graduation she returned to coach at her alma mater for two years.
Cody’s coaching philosophy centers around simplicity, accountability, and becoming the best version of yourself. Cody strives to enhance each athlete’s volleyball IQ while pushing them beyond their limits. She pays close attention to the small details, ensuring that every player is progressing throughout season.
Cody is well known in the East Valley for being one of the top private lesson coaches as she specializes in middle and setter training.
In 2011, she was honored with the NAIA Sun Conference Champion of Character award. Also during her tenure at BHS, she led the boys program to the final eight during her third season.
Outside of coaching, Cody is passionate about fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, quality time with family, and talking long walks with her pup Xena.
